Happy Birthday, Auroville!

As many of our friends know, we hold a special relationship with Auroville. (Never heard of this international township? Check out its website.) On February 28th, Auroville will celebrate its 50th birthday. Whatever you may think about Auroville (and yes, we know opinions range widely!), we think that half a century of this social experiment and collective adventure is pretty amazing. In particular, we give a massive shout out to all of the foresters, whose tireless work in planting and nurturing trees has transformed the land.

In honour of Auroville's 50th birthday, we wanted to highlight all of the Aurovilians that we've taken rafting on the Ganga. These have included the Ganga Yatra school group as well as individuals on pilgrimage. We look forward to strengthening the Auroville-Ganga River connection, and invite all Aurovilians to come share the beauties of the Ganga with us.
