Grateful in 2019
Check out 10 reasons we’re grateful for 2019:
10) We are grateful to have won the IRTA 2019 Best Adventure Operator (Silver) award.
In January we were honored with this award from IRTA, but the best part was connecting with others in the industry doing inspiring work.
9) We are grateful for our continued work with school groups.
We feel lucky that we get to introduce young people to the splendours of India’s rivers, often for the first time.
8) We are grateful for a new kind of journey.
In April we joined forces with Theo of Himalayan Ark to provide a unique river trip which explored the natural, cultural and historical perspectives of the Kali River corridor. Read one participant’s experience of the trip here.
6) We are grateful for our NOLS summer.
Anvesh worked for NOLS this summer, where he got to paddle the beautiful rivers of Idaho, including for the South Fork of the Salmon, for the first time.
5) We are grateful for new team members.
We are excited to welcome back Manohar to the Expeditions India team!
4) We are grateful for kayaking trips (especially with a PNW-er).
We love introducing everyone to India’s rivers (but especially folks from the Pacific Northwest, USA).
3) We are grateful for opportunities to improve our skills.
In December, Anvesh became an International Technical Rescue Association (ITRA) Swiftwater Responder Instructor Level 1, which allows him to conduct swiftwater rescue trainings.
2) We are grateful for the lives of Elvin and Naveen.
Although we continue to mourn the loss of our dear friends from a kayaking accident, we are grateful for all of the laughs and adventures we shared, and for the rivers for bringing our lives together.
1) We are grateful for YOU!
We always remain grateful to YOU, our friends and family, who continue to support Expeditions India through your business and love. Thank you! We look forward to seeing you on the river in 2020.
